What are the benefits of ordering online?

With the SAS online ordering option, you can: easily view pricing in your national currency; review and approve license terms in one click; and, as with all of our ordering options, access our industry-leading offerings in analytics as quickly as possible (even prior to payment).

There are other products listed on your Web site that I would like to purchase. Are these available online?

Currently, only SAS Visual Data Discovery and SAS Analytics Pro are available for online ordering. To order other products in the US, please call 1-800-727-0025. To order other products in countries other than the US, please contact your local SAS office.

What will I receive with my online order?

Your license for the product includes software, technical support, online documentation and software upgrades.

 

Pricing, Taxes and Payment

When and how do I make a payment?

Once your order is processed by SAS, an invoice will be mailed to the billing contact designated during the ordering process. Payment for that invoice may be made in the form of a check, wire transfer, electronic funds transfer (EFT) or credit card. You will be able to use your software upon receipt even though you have not made a payment. Payment terms are net thirty (30) days from the date on the invoice.

Your Web site indicates the price shown does not include applicable taxes. How can I find out what my taxes will be?

Taxes are determined by the shipping address and the applicable tax regulations in effect at the time your order is processed. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide the tax amount during the online ordering process.

My organization is tax exempt. How will you handle this?

If you believe your organization may be exempt from taxes, please include a copy of your organization's tax exemption certificate with your payment. The certificate will be forwarded to our tax department for review and confirmation. If it is determined that taxes are not applicable, SAS will issue a credit for the appropriate tax amount.

What will the shipping charges be?

Shipping costs are paid by SAS. There are no additional shipping or handling fees added to the invoice.

I am a student or professor and I do not want a commercial license. What are my options?

SAS offers several options for the academic community, including offerings for students and professors. For more information, visit Resources for Students or Resources for Professors.

Your site indicates that the price shown is a "first year fee." What does that mean?

SAS software is licensed on an annual basis. Each year, you have the option to renew the software. The first year fee indicates the amount owed for use of the software for the first year. The fee for subsequent years is approximately 28 percent of the then-current, first-year license fee.

Shipment Options and Status

The order form indicates a choice for software media. What does that mean?

Customers may choose to receive their software via electronic software delivery or on a DVD.  If electronic delivery is requested, the customer will receive an email with further download instructions once their order has been processed.  

When will I receive my software?

If you requested that the software be delivered via electronic software download, you will receive an e-mail with download instructions within approximately three business days of submitting the online order. If you requested that the software be shipped to you on a DVD, you should expect to receive the software within seven to 10 business days of submitting the online order.

How can I check the status of my order?

If you do not receive your order within the timeframe indicated for your preferred delivery method, please contact your local SAS office. If you are located in the US, please call 1-800-727-0025.

Can I download the software I ordered from your Web site?

Electronic software download is one of the delivery options. The download instructions will be sent via e-mail within approximately three business days after the order is submitted online.
